The Integrated Lining System has been developed by Swagelining Limited to construct lining systems that have been designed using complimentary technologies and products previously tested and proven to work in combination in the service application. Liner system design and specifications originate from technologies and components in the Integrated Lining System.
- Swagelining™ is the proprietary engineering technology underpinning the Integrated Lining System. This technology ensures a tight fitting polymer liner inside the host pipe.
- Polymer materials are tested for suitability with the Swagelining™ technology. A range of testing is undertaken to test the reduction and reversion capabilities of a polymer under consideration for use. From these test data, design input parameters for Swagelining™ engineering are produced.
- Connectors are developed for use with liners installed using Swagelining™ parameters. The way the reverted liner responds to the connector is an important design consideration. All connectors are pressure tested with Swagelined liners for the application before being recommended for the service.
- Venting of polymer liners is delivered via the LinerVent™. Although still in development, this proprietary vent is designed to prevent collapse of the liner by enabling the balancing of pressure between the annulus and the pipeline bore when operating pressures fluctuate. There is no release or evacuation of gas from the pipeline pressurised system using this technology.
The Integrated Lining System supports improved liner system reliability during construction and operations by ensuring all products used in the system are compatible. By taking a system wide approach to liner design, Swagelining Limited can reduce external interfaces and take overall responsibility for delivery of the complete lining system.
